About Us
Digital Photography Adventures was founded in 2009 to provide educational opportunities for beginning and serious amateur photographers. No matter what your skill level, our mission is to help you improve your image making. We structure our programs around practical techniques so that you understand the material, retain the information and have fun learning.
We offer classes and seminars in the Atlanta area covering topics from basic camera skills to advanced studio lighting. For the more adventurous students, we offer travel photography workshops such as our Arenal Eco Adventure workshop in Monterrey, Costa Rica.
In addition to our usual staff, DphotoA is proud to host seminars and workshops by nationally renowned photographers and educators such as Rick Sammon and Juan Pons. Sign up for our mailing list and keep an eye on our calendar for information about our special events and guest instructors.
Our Instructors
Rob Knight
Rob Knight is an Atlanta, Georgia-based photographer and an award-winning tattoo artist. Rob is an Adobe Certified Expert in Photoshop® Lightroom®. He was a finalist for the “Photoshop Guru Award” for photography at the Photoshop World Conference in Las Vegas, NV in 2008 and 2009. He has been a professional artist for twenty years. His travel and landscape photography has been featured on travel websites and exhibited in venues in and around Atlanta, GA.
He is best known for his travel and landscape photography. ”I try to show the viewer something they have never seen before, or show them a familiar place in a new way,” Rob explained. ”When you’re attempting to tell the story of a place with pictures, you learn to notice graphic elements and details that a lot of people miss.” His passion for travel and landscape photography has taken him from the urban splendors of Paris, France to the luminous beaches of Costa Rica.
Rob teaches our Lightroom introduction class and our six-week comprehensive Lightroom classes. Rob also teaches Photo basics, HDR photography, and advanced lighting in addition to leading our Costa Rica Travel Workshops.

Damian Ahching
Damian AhChing is an internationally recognized photographer and visual communications designer based in Grayson, Georgia. Damian graduated at the top of his class from the two-year Commercial Photography Program at Gwinnett Technical College. Over the past two years, He has been recognized by the PPA, PPA China, Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar, Photographers Forum, and countless other organizations. Damian has worked with several high-profile clients including IHG, Kids-R-Kids, and BET.
Specializing in portraiture, editorial, commercial, weddings, and print design, Damian AhChing has a very unique style. Mixing his contemporary and modern artistry with classic techniques helps to create his exclusive vision.
“I’ve been very fortunate with the talent, education, and opportunities I’ve been given,” Damian says. “The best way for me to give back is to share my well of knowledge.”

Jesse Brown
For the past 15 years, photography has been the driving force in Jesse Brown’s life and career. His interest in the photographic world began while in learning the basics of photography in high school, but it wasn’t until receiving a journalism scholarship to a small college in South Georgia, that he began taking his trade more seriously.
After a 2-year stint in South Georgia, he figured he’d try his hand at a commercial photography degree. While attending The Art Institute of Atlanta, he was exposed to many different artists and mediums of photography. He received a BFA in Photography from the Art Institute of Atlanta and after graduating at the top of his class in 2004, he spent a year assisting numerous commercial photographers in the Atlanta area and then segued into a career in capturing distinctive portraits and landscapes after relocating to New York City in 2005.
“I have learned so much about photography and life during my stay in New York. New York has a vibe that many other cities can’t compete with. Since I’ve been here, I’ve been able to assist some of the world’s best commercial photographers. Although I’ve ended my assisting career, I’ve been able to take what I’ve learned and apply it to my own shoots.”
His distinctive style has graced the pages of numerous New York City based publications. Assignments have taken him all over the United States, from the streets of New York City to the swamps of the Louisiana bayous, the beaches of Miami, Florida, the mountains of Montana and the sun drenched deserts of Nevada and Arizona.
When he’s not traveling, he spends his time listening to vintage Elvis records, drinking mint juleps and playing scrabble. Jesse currently lives in Brooklyn, New York with his wife, Courtney and his toothless cat, Martha.
